Job descriptionStrong understanding of inpatient E / M and MDM logic. Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding. Familiarity with CDI and hospital EMR systems. Active certification from AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, COC, CCS, CCS-P, or CRC). Knowledge of coding guidelines, payer rules, and compliance standards. Accuracy, productivity, and excellent communication. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience : Minimum 3 years U.S. coding experience

Role Summary :
Assign appropriate E / M codes for inpatient encounters based on MDM and time-based documentation guidelines to ensure compliance and revenue integrity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review documentation for inpatient consults, progress, and discharge notes.
- Apply correct E / M levels based on MDM or total time.
- Work with CDI and HIM teams to resolve documentation gaps.
