Database Engineer

A company is looking for a Database Engineer (RDS PostgreSQL & OpenSearch).

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable database architectures using Amazon RDS (Postgres) and OpenSearch

Conduct performance tuning and optimization for SQL queries and OpenSearch clusters

Lead troubleshooting efforts for database issues and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies

Required Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including advanced SQL and performance tuning

3+ years of experience with Amazon RDS (Postgres) in production environments

2+ years of experience managing and tuning Amazon OpenSearch clusters

Strong understanding of AWS services including EC2, IAM, and VPC networking

Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code tools
