Environmental Tech Per Diem Evenings

Overview

The Environmental Services Technician performs a variety of cleaning tasks under general direction. The role includes floor care and cleaning in both patient and non-patient areas to achieve high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care, dust mopping, sweeping outside areas, scrubbing, stripping, buffing, shampooing and spill removal.
• Damp wash counters, telephones, desks, ledges, and similar surfaces.
• Wash light fixtures, ceilings, and walls, using ladders or step stools as required.
• Remove trash and soiled linens; handle isolation room cleaning as prescribed in written procedures.
• Change cubical curtains and drapes.
• Clean and maintain environmental tools and equipment.
• Clean occupied patient areas and assist with dismissals as needed.
• Perform other related duties to ensure the highest quality of service throughout the facility.
