Job description

Receiving Clerk / Forklift Operator

Our client, a leader in the logistics industry, is seeking a Receiving Clerk / Forklift to join their team. As a Receiving Clerk / Forklift, you will be part of the operations team supporting the efficient flow of materials. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, good hand / eye coordination, and the ability to adapt to change, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location : West Coxsackie, NY

Pay Range : $21.00 / hr

Shift : Monday-Friday 6am-2 : 30pm

What's the Job?

  • Load and unload trucks, operate a standard forklift and related equipment, moving materials throughout the plant.
  • Unload incoming materials from trailers using a forklift, check quantities and item descriptions against purchasing orders, and enter orders into the computer.
  • Organize and stock raw materials in the work area, following departmental housekeeping requirements.
  • Perform all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures, maintaining a clean workstation.
  • Conduct daily checks for maintenance and safe operation of the forklift.

  • Ability to sort items with good organizational skills.
  • Prior experience and ability to drive a forklift.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow work instructions, loading schedules, and production tickets.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions; communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers and management.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to change.
