Purpose Of Position : Join the transformation of North America's premier ski resort, now undertaking the largest expansion in the continent's history. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of luxury mountain hospitality at scale. As Director of Procurement, you'll lead a strategic overhaul of purchasing operationsdriving innovation, sustainability, and efficiency while supporting an unforgettable guest experience. Partnering with leaders across the resort, you'll balance cost, quality, and impact to fuel growth and long-term success.

Responsibilities :

Procurement Strategy & Transformation

Use data and insights to optimize costs, find savings, and elevate operational excellence.

Vendor & Contract Leadership

Forge strong, ethical supplier partnerships across hospitality, recreation, food & beverage, retail, and development.

Oversee contract negotiation and risk management to support growth and compliance.

Cross-Department Collaboration

Partner with leaders across the resort to align purchasing with guest experience and business goals.

Integrate sustainable and socially responsible sourcing into key decisions.

Operational Excellence & Financial Stewardship

Oversee purchasing systems, inventory controls, and budgeting to balance efficiency and availability.

Monitor KPIs and ensure smooth, cost-effective operations.

Team Leadership & Development

Model the Deer Valley Difference in your actions and leadership.

Inspire and mentor a high-performing team with a focus on agility, innovation, and collaboration.

Build a positive culture rooted in service excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA or advanced certifications preferred).

10+ years of progressive procurement experience with proven transformation and leadership success.

Hospitality, resort, or outdoor recreation industry experience highly preferred.

Strong strategic thinking, analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in procurement platforms, ERP systems, and data reporting tools.

Commitment to excellence, sustainability, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
