Key Responsibilities

As a Dentist with YesCare, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive dental care in a correctional healthcare setting. Your responsibilities include:

• Radiographic Exams: Perform and interpret radiographic exams (X-rays) to assess dental health and diagnose conditions.

• Dental Treatment: Provide emergency and routine dental treatments, including but not limited to oral surgery, restorative dentistry, periodontal therapy, and extractions.

• Oral Health Care: Correct significant oral health issues that may impact the inmate’s overall health and well-being.

• Referrals: Make proper referrals for procedures or treatments that cannot be performed within the facility.

• Incident Reporting: Report any unusual occurrences, accidents, or incidents to the Site or Regional Medical Director for appropriate follow-up.

Key Qualifications

• Current State License: Must be licensed to practice dentistry in the state of employment.

• DEA Registration: Must maintain a current DEA number for prescribing controlled substances.

• Background Screening: A background check, security clearance, and drug screening are required for this role.
