Funky Buddha Brewery, located in Oakland Park, Florida, is seeking a Full time Warehouse Associate to join its growing team. Established in 2010 at its Boca Raton brewpub, Funky Buddha is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional brewing methods with culinary-inspired recipes utilizing all-natural, food-centric ingredients. Some of its best-known beers include flagships Hop Gun IPA and Floridian Hefeweizen. This fast-growing company is the first production brewery in the greater Fort Lauderdale area and the largest brewery in South Florida and is positioned for rapid expansion over the next few years.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring that the warehouse and all goods within it are maintained in a safe and orderly fashion and is responsible for receiving and properly tracking incoming and outgoing products, raw and packaging materials, beers and other goods and materials flowing through the warehouse (for brewery, cellar, taproom, packaging, etc.). The Warehouse Associate is must be able to pick orders accurately for outgoing shipments and to carefully inspect and sign for incoming shipments. The Warehouse Associate must be someone who can maintain good order and efficiency in all areas regarding inventory organization. The Warehouse Associate must be a hard-working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Accurate picking of outbound orders
• Accurate checking of picked orders for shipment
• Efficient unloading and loading trucks with a forklift, according to orders placed
• Keeping very accurate inventory records
• Perform periodic inventory counts
• Rotating finished goods and raw materials
• Daily detailed reporting of work activities by email
• Keeping the warehouse and all areas clean
• Maintain a safe and friendly working environment
• Manage coolers and rotate inventory.
• Organize and manage warehouse space efficiently.
• Make sure to read the packaging schedule daily in order to be prepared for that day and the next day’s units. Communicate with Inventory Specialist and prioritize which beer to ship.
• Accurately record amount of beer packaged in necessary logs.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for truck loading and inventory control.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, yet be precise in all daily tasks.
• Be safety minded in all aspects of the job and report any possible unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.
• Proper Use of Personal Protection Equipment
• Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities

• May be asked to assist with other duties and special projects throughout the Brewery

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

OSHA laws require the use of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety:

• Safety goggles when working in certain Production areas or when performing certain tasks
• Steel-toe, water resistant boots with ankle protection
• Hearing Protection in loud environments
• Safety gloves when handling industrial strength chemicals

Employees will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. Funky Buddha Brewery provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly to your Manager.

• Prior forklift experience is required
• Prior inventory experience is required
• Prior experience in picking orders is required
• Ability to manage several responsibilities
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility in terms of hours and a willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and overtime
• Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals
• Ability to work safely in a wet, noisy, and non-temperature-controlled environment
• Ability to meet production, quality and safety standards

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

EDUCATION

High school diploma preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Forklift operation

Inventory experience required

Mechanical experience and aptitude preferred.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

No special licenses or certificates required.
