WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a member of the Tooling department, the Tooling / CNC Operator will test new fixtures and programs to produce machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC machine. Additionally, the technician will fabricate, assemble, and repair various types of composite mold tooling. Will work with a variety of composite materials, hand tools, and power tools such as grinders, saws, and sanders. Other expectations may include :
- Set up and operate CNC equipment to prove out programs and machining concepts
- Assist in troubleshooting new programs / fixtures
- Configure tools and ensure efficient production
- Use dimensional measurement tools
- Lay-up composite materials
- Vacuum bag and consolidate materials
- Read blueprints, templates, process sheets, and other authorized documents
- Develop shop aids to facilitate the fabrication of composite parts
- Perform repairs
- Maintain electronic and paper records as required
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Assist other operators
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Experience running CNC machinesExperience reading and understanding G CodeAble to maintain quality and safety standards, record keeping, and maintain equipment and suppliesEffective verbal, written, and mathematical skills are requiredMust be able to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications, blueprints, and drawings, and perform normal math calculations easilyMust be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the futureEXPERIENCE WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING A PLUS
