The Material Handling Team Lead is responsible for all Material Handler personnel and activities that occur during an operating shift. The Team Lead exercises direct supervision over the packaging hourly work force. They are responsible for ensuring that all Material Handlers are operating the equipment in a safe manner whilst supporting efficient operation of the paint line. The Team Lead monitors the Packaging line floor to ensure that all coils packaging meet or exceed the quality expectations of the customer(s). The Team Lead is required to drive and forklift and be qualified to train employees in forklift operation. Other duties include but are not limited to :

• Overall responsibility for on shift plant performance : safety, quality and productivity.
• Supervising a team of ~25 including material handlers and operators.
• Monitoring performance and taking corrective action where required.
• Investigating problems, safety issues, employee performance issues and implementing corrective action.
• Capturing production data and writing shift reports.

This opening is for second shift only : 1 : 40pm-10pm. Starting pay is $28 / hr + $1.50 shift differential.
