Wonderspring is seeking an experienced Site Director to oversee our Aftercare and Aquatics Program beginning January 2026.
This grant-funded, two-year position plays a key role in coordinating daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality, engaging programming for school-age youth in grades K–12.
The Site Director supports both academic and enrichment goals by overseeing the “Power Hour” homework help block, managing Interest Clubs, and coordinating with the STEAM Educator and Youth Development Specialists to deliver hands-on, age-appropriate programming.
This role also ensures a safe, fun, and inclusive aquatics experience for all participants while maintaining compliance with DHS and program standards.

What You’ll Get to Do (and Have Fun Doing!) Oversee daily operations of the aftercare and aquatics programs, ensuring smooth transitions, safety, and program quality.
Supervisor and Support Youth Development Specialists and the STEAM Educator in implementing creative, hands-on learning experiences.
Coordinate “Power Hour” academic support and Interest Clubs that foster curiosity, teamwork, and social-emotional growth.
Manage the Aquatics Program schedule, ensuring that age-group swim sessions run safely, efficiently, and in collaboration with the Lifeguards.
Communicate regularly with families, schools, and community partners to build positive relationships and encourage program participation.
Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance in accordance with program and organizational standards.
Support students in setting goals and tracking progress throughout the program year.
Collaborate with the Community Engagement Coordinator to assist with outreach, special events, and community partnerships.
Your Special Skills & Qualities Associate’s degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education or a related field with at least 18 ECE credits At least two years' experience in early childcare education (2,500 verified hours).
Confident leading a team and mentoring staff while creating a collaborative, family-focused environment.
Skilled in planning, organizing, and delivering developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
Excellent communication skills for working with children, families, and coworkers.
Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test.
