CGI Federal is currently looking for a Senior-Level Cloud Information Systems Security Engineer with active Top Secret clearance to support a large project for a federal government client. The Senior-Level Cloud ISSE will work in an agile environment, applying a variety of technical skills in a fast-paced setting. The role involves supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure cloud systems and networks, contributing to compliance efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Provide analytical and technical security recommendations to the customer.
• Lead identification of project-specific security requirements.
• Deliver security recommendations for systems utilizing cloud services.
• Participate in network design reviews and security testing for customer networks.
• Coordinate with system development teams to ensure proper implementation of network security standards.
• Identify additional security requirements based on RMF or emerging risks.
• Review and analyze new hardware and software systems for security implications.
• Evaluate Security Requirements Traceability Matrixes (SRTMs), System Security Plans (SSPs), and other IA documentation for completeness.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Active Top Secret clearance (TS).
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contract.
• Advanced Cyber Certification (DoD / IAT Level III).
• Cloud certification in one or more of the following:
o CompTIA Secure Cloud Professional (CSCP), CompTIA Cloud+ CE
o AWS (Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps Engineer, Security, Advanced Networking)
o Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
o Cloud Certified Professional
o Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect
o Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge
o VMWare Certified Advanced Professional – Cloud Infrastructure Administration
o Microsoft Specialist: Azure Infrastructure Solutions or Architecting Azure Solutions
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience providing security engineering for cloud capabilities and solutions in AWS, Azure, or other mainstream cloud service providers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Expertise in networking protocols and software-defined networking technologies.
• Experience supporting cloud migration from on-premises environments.
• Strong understanding of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Proficiency in cybersecurity principles and Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
Desired Qualifications
• Cloud architecture experience (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect).
• Systems engineering experience including configuration and requirements management.
• Familiarity with customer infrastructure and IA processes.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
• Self-starter with minimal supervision required.
• Experience briefing senior customer personnel.
• Ability to manage multiple customer requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with IA vulnerability testing and tools such as Retina, HBSS, EVSS, ACAS.
• Experience with XACTA.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Cross Domain Solutions (ECDS).
• Experience supporting IC or DoD cybersecurity initiatives.
