We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Tax & Partnership Accountant to join our dynamic legal team. This role will be instrumental in handling tax-related matters for our firm and our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, corporate tax returns, state and local tax, federal & state tax, tax preparation, audit and tax, sales tax, and tax returns. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in the field.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and review accurate tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
Conduct complex tax research and planning to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws.
Handle federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring timely submission and payment.
Manage audits by tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of changing tax laws and regulations.
Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions.
Collaborate with other departments to provide tax advice and planning in accordance with business objectives.
Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce potential tax risks.
Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or Master's degree in Taxation is highly preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on partnership taxation.

Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

High degree of professionalism and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
