The Customs Compliance Specialist operates at a high level of efficiency conducting the department's tasks, including managing import and export blocks in the system, broker communication for ISF and entries, HTS / ECCN Classification and post-entry work, as needed. The Customs Compliance Specialist works to minimize disruption to Q's supply chain by proactively addressing regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Customs Compliance Manager, who reports to the General Counsel. The position interacts with departments across Q.

The Customs Compliance Specialist is responsible for the preparation of Customs entry documentation. This position assists the Customs Compliance Manager with preparing Customs protests, duty drawback, reconciliation, conducting Customs compliance audits, HTS classification, supporting CTPAT risk assessment, and supporting and improving import and export compliance processes. The Customs Compliance Specialist works to minimize disruption to Q's supply chain by proactively addressing regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Customs Compliance Manager, who reports to the General Counsel. The position interacts with departments across Q.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR :

• Conduct pre & post entry compliance reviews and communication / direct liaison with Customs brokers to ensure proper classification, valuation, manufacturer and country of origin is reported accurately.
• Preparation of Customs protest, post-entry amendments, duty drawback, and reconciliation.
• Conduct product research for HTS codes in the US, Canada, Taiwan, as well as ECCN classification, and country of origin.
• Provide support for Special Order Processing department to ensure compliant export shipment.
• Collect, track, and review vendor documentation for CTPAT risk assessment.
• Request and maintain USMCA certificates of origin and other applicable FTA documentation, as well as PGA declarations.
• Manage import and export blocks within the SAP GTS system.
• Screen SPL for all QBP business partners and employees.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
