Golf Shop Assistant

This is unskilled work responsible in assisting with the day-to-day activities of the golf shop. An employee in this class reports directly to the golf professional and / or director of operations for daily instruction, schedule and general duties.

This position requires general knowledge of cash handling and customer relation skills. This person must have a general understanding of computer and phone use.

Essential Functions Examples of Duties :

• Understands and can effectively use all office related equipment and POS software programs.
• Has basic understanding of golf merchandise and the game of golf in general.
• Responsible for accurate daily cash deposits and receipts.
• Responsible for assuring cart attendant's duties have been completed.
• Must be able to relate to all customers in a consistent and friendly manner.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand during work shift.
• Ability to perform physical functions, including ability to lift objects and / or materials short distances (weight up to 50 lbs.).
• Maintains a neat and sanitary work environment.
• Maintains personal hygiene to departmental standards.
• Follows all opening and closing duties.
• Communicates with management regarding issues with the golf shop and carts.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
