Fibers Extrusion and Raw Material Planner
Position Overview
The Corporate Fibers Extrusion and Raw Materials Planner is responsible for translating the S&OP Demand plan from Carpet and developing extrusion production plans. This role will lead and direct the supply planning process across multiple extrusion manufacturing facilities, including tactical decision-making to align future supply with forecasted demand, and align volume and mix within capacity constraints. The role will also drive the streamlining of current planning systems and methods to meet customer service requirements and corporate inventory targets, utilizing advanced planning tools and analytics to meet performance targets.
Responsibilities
- Utilize current methods along with advanced analytical tools and solvers to plan fiber and color concentrate inventories supporting the extrusion facilities.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive, time-phased, integrated fiber and yarn supply plan that optimizes manufacturing capacities and meets customer service expectations (OTIF, Fill Rate).
- Evaluate and modify the fiber and color concentrate supply plan daily to drive future production of both carpet and finished yarn within the value stream.
- Make key decisions and prioritize to resolve capacity constraints across the fiber extrusion supply chain.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain key metrics to fulfill departmental KPIs and objectives.
- Collaborate with fiber, yarn, and carpet manufacturing, customer service, sales, and planning teams to ensure inventory plans meet customer needs and expectations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; 2-5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.Proven experience using data analytics to solve complex problems.Ability to work across business units to drive results.Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically at tactical and strategic levels.Proficiency in analytical tools such as Tableau, Data Bricks, ShawAI, Fusion / Ora cle, etc.Strong sense of urgency and active involvement in decision-making and problem-solving.Effective communication skills for complex information.Job location is Plant 72, with occasional regional travel in GA, SC, AL, and hybrid work arrangements.Preferred
Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain preferred.Experience with automated planning / scheduling systems like OMP, HSRP, Demand Planning, Oracle.Advanced degree preferred.CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.Green and / or Black Belt training preferred.Competencies

Work Shift
