About The Position

About the Position Position / Specialty : Multimodality Tech (X-Ray & CT) - Hybrid Role (Dual Location) Performs CT scan and radiographic exams. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as directed, according to established practices and procedures. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Shift : Will work Friday-Sunday 2 Days / 1 Night, Friday : 6 : 30a-7p at main campus in Orangeburg. Saturday : 6 : 30a-7p, and Sunday : 6 : 30p-7a at BBMP with on-call rotation among staff at BBMP only Is on-call REQ? Yes, on call rotation among staff at BBMP only. If shifts are not filled when traveler is on call, then weekend work may be required Required / Preferred Years of experience REQ : One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and Computed Tomography First-timers accepted : Yes National Certs REQ : ARRT (R) (CT), SCRQSA (R) (CT), CPR, BLS Must have satisfactorily completed an AMA approved school of radiological technology and be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association. Certification of CPR required. American Heart Association (AHA) Radiation Badge REQ : Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers BLS REQ : Yes Miscellaneous Local Radius : 60 miles Locals Accepted : Locals Accepted : Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions for Client Offers : All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours : Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Hospital Highlights Type of Facility : MUSC Health Orangeburg is an Acute Care Hospital, BBMP is a 11-bed free standing ER with X-ray room, X-ray portable and CT - 1 multimodality tech per 12hr shift.   • Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
