We are seeking a Permanent Chief Estimator with a specialization in Electrical Construction to join our dynamic team. This position plays a critical role in our organization, leading the pre-construction process and providing accurate cost estimates that drive the success of our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the estimating process, from initial project conception through to final bid. Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Lead the estimating team in the preparation of project estimates and bids, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.

2. Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of projects.

3. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.

4. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

5. Prepare and present cost reports and estimate summaries to senior management and clients.

6. Utilize advanced estimating software and technology to improve accuracy and efficiency.

7. Continually monitor industry trends and advancements in estimating techniques.

8. Participate in project handoff meetings and provide support to the project management team throughout the construction process.

9. Oversee the maintenance of the company’s historical cost database.

10. Provide mentoring and training to junior estimating staff.

Qualifications :

1. Strong background within electrical contracting within commercial and industrial environments.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating and pre-construction in the electrical construction industry.

3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.

4. Proficiency in estimating software and technology.

5. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

6. Strong leadership and team management skills.

7. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

9. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

10. Ability to read and interpret complex electrical plans and specifications.

11. Proven track record of preparing successful bids and estimates.

12. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
