Office Secretary III Industry : State Agency Location : Onsite — Owings Mills, MD Rate : Based on contract; depends on experience Position Overview Join a mission-driven public-sector team as an Office Secretary III.In this front-desk role, you’ll support daily office operations, assist visitors and callers, and maintain accurate records and reports.Success requires fast, accurate typing (40+ wpm), excellent customer service, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.This is a fully onsite position with standard weekday hours and no overtime. Responsibilities Greet visitors and answer multi-line phones within 3 rings; provide clear, respectful information.Prepare letters, memos, emails, and basic reports using Microsoft Word; build / update spreadsheets and simple databases in Excel and Access.Enter data accurately; file, retrieve, and maintain paper and electronic records.Process incoming / outgoing mail and keep logs current.Compile weekly and monthly operational reports from established templates / sources.Operate common office equipment (copier, scanner, fax, printers) and keep the front office neat and presentable.Track and request office supplies; coordinate simple office errands as needed.Follow established procedures and communicate promptly with the site supervisor on schedules, attendance, and approvals. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of recent secretarial / administrative experience in a busy, customer-facing office.Typing speed ≥ 40 wpm with accurate data entry.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access; comfortable with multi-line phones and standard office equipment.Professional, empathetic communication skills and strong attention to detail.Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday, 8 :
