FranFund is a consulting company, specializing in franchise funding. We’re not a direct lender. We’re an award-winning funding partner, named the #1 Banking and Financing Supplier in Franchising by Entrepreneur Magazine for 3 years and running. We are seeking a results-driven and client-focused Lending Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for analyzing personal financial and business information and understanding clients’ business ownership goals. Using this insight, you will consult and guide clients toward suitable business funding solutions, helping them make informed financial decisions. This position requires strong communication skills, a consultative approach, and a solid understanding of business acumen.
Starting annual salary range of $70,000–$80,000, with additional bonus opportunities tied to secured client engagement agreements. This is NOT a fully remote role.
REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in a role managing a high volume of customer interactions, including frequent phone communication.
- Experience handling challenging conversations and resolving customer issues.
- Comfortable performing math calculations and interpreting figures mentally with accuracy.
- Proven knowledge of finance, banking, SBA and franchise industry policies, procedures and criteria.
- Demonstrated initiative, decisiveness under stress, and strong crisis-management and problem-solving skills.
- Proven success thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Familiarity with CRM or client-management tools (Salesforce highly preferred) and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- PC proficiency with Microsoft Office.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Represents FranFund’s vision, mission, and values in daily work, maintaining strong relationships with franchise consultants, franchisors, referral sources, and internal teams.Manages lending evaluations, including reviewing FranScore applications, financials, FDDs, business venture details, and credit reports to assess eligibility and risk.Conducts lending consultations to determine loan options and strategies, clearly explaining processes, timelines, and program requirements.Communicates updates to consultants and referral partners, delivers unfavorable decisions tactfully, and handles refund requests as needed.Resolves lending-related crises and conflicts promptly while ensuring high-quality customer service, consistent performance, and effective collaboration with Lending Operations.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to travel for work purposesThis is not a remote position. Selected candidates will be expected to be in-office Monday through Friday during training and 90-day probationary period. Following that a hybrid schedule may be an option. We are located on the westside of downtown Fort Worth.
