Job Description
- Define the cloud adoption roadmap , aligning with business goals and technical capabilities.
- Evaluate and select appropriate cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models (public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud) .
- Design reference architectures and blueprints for scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments.
- Recommend cloud-native vs. hybrid approaches based on workload, compliance, and cost factors.
- Design end-to-end cloud solutions for applications, data, networking, and security.
- Architect microservices-based or event-driven applications using containers (AKS) and serverless (Azure Functions).
- Ensure integration between on-premises and cloud systems using VPN, ExpressRoute, or Direct Connect.
- Create disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) architectures across regions.
- Implement identity and access management (IAM) , role-based access control (RBAC) , and least privilege principles .
- Define network security architecture : firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection, and zero-trust models.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Establish governance frameworks using tools like Azure Policy Organization Policy Service .
- Embed DevSecOps principles into pipelines to automate compliance and vulnerability checks.
- Perform cloud cost analysis and implement FinOps practices to manage budgets and usage.
- Recommend autoscaling , right-sizing , and reserved instance strategies.
- Monitor performance metrics and optimize workloads for efficiency and reliability .
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to implement CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform , Bicep ,.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Integrate observability tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana) for proactive monitoring.
- Design data pipelines for ingestion, storage, and analytics using cloud-native tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
- Architect data lakes, warehouses, and real-time streaming platforms (Kafka, Event Hub).
- Act as a technical advisor to stakeholders - business, development, operations, and security teams.
- Conduct architecture reviews and governance boards for design approval.
- Mentor teams in cloud best practices , migration patterns, and modern architectures.
- Lead proof of concepts (POCs) and evaluate emerging cloud technologies.
- Assess legacy systems and design migration strategies (rehost, refactor, rearchitect, rebuild, replace).
- Plan application modernization using containers, APIs, and managed services.
- Use cloud migration tools like Azure Migrate for Compute Engine.
- Maintain architecture diagrams , HLDs (High-Level Design) , and LLDs (Low-Level Design) documents.
- Establish standards and best practices for consistency and governance.
