Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, and TNCC certification.

Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital

Standard ER patient population including trauma, psych, OB emergencies, and fast track cases

Unit has 2 trauma rooms and 11 exam rooms, with 4 designated as fast track

Patient ratio is typically 1 : 4

Uses Cerner Millennium for EMR documentation

Night shift, 12 hours (7 PM – 7 AM), three shifts per week

Weekend shifts required every other weekend

May float across ED and inpatient units as needed

Responsibilities include caring for a varied ER population including trauma, psych, and OB cases, including brief psych holds and delivering babies in emergencies

Collaboration with a team including 24 / 7 ER physician, PA coverage, nurse aides, RT, and pharmacy services

Orientation is 2-3 shifts on the unit

Scrubs are provided

Holiday coverage is integrated into the staff rotation

Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience

Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS

Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Charge nurse experience preferred
