Internal Audit Intern - Summer 2026 - Dallas, TX

Summary

The Internal Audit Intern will assist the Internal Audit team in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the company's risk management, control, and governance processes. This role provides hands-on experience in auditing techniques, compliance procedures, and exposure to various business functions within the organization.

Essential Functions

• Assist in planning and executing internal audit activities, including reviewing processes, systems, and controls.
• Perform risk assessments and help identify areas of improvement.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data.
• Prepare audit documentation, including detailed work papers and audit findings.
• Support the development of recommendations to improve processes and mitigate risks.
• Assist in following up on the implementation of corrective actions for identified issues.
• Collaborate with team members to prepare internal audit reports for management.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
