Lead PHP-Laravel Developer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead PHP-Laravel Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Elastic Search to lead the development of a new product pricing platform. This platform will serve as a central hub for the Marketing Department and play a critical role in the modernization of our overall technology infrastructure. As the Lead Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing the full development lifecycle, ensuring the platform is scalable, high-performing, and maintainable. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Product, and Engineering—to align technical solutions with strategic business goals. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape a key initiative within our evolving tech ecosystem.
As an Elastic & Laravel/Vapor Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining in-house built solutions using Laravel/Vapor & Elastic Search integrated with Azure, AEM and ETL Tool. You will work closely with our design and development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable and robust solutions to serve many front-end applications.
This position will be full-time onsite in Berlin, CT or New Haven, CT.

· Lead daily stand-up meetings, provide technical direction, and mentor team members to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Design data ingestion and consumption Apis at Laravel/Vapor.
• Design and optimize Elastic indices based on business requirements
• Built and designed utilities in Elastic console.
• Integrate and optimize Elastic Search for high-performance search capabilities.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Understand & secure Elastic Search clusters to protect data integrity and privacy.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features.

What are we looking for
· Proven experience as a Laravel Architect or Lead.

• Must have - experience as a Developer
• Must hold -+ years at the Principal level in order to be considered as a leader for this group.
• Strong proficiency in PHP along with Laravel framework.
• Must have some exposure or hands-on experience in working with Vapor for serverless deployment.
• In-depth knowledge of Elastic Search and integrations with Laravel/Vapor.
• Deep understanding of Elastic Search architecture, including cluster management and configuration.
• Proven experience of designing Elastic Search based solutions with Open Source.
• Proficiency in Elastic Search query language and plugins development.
• Knowledge of integrating Elastic Search with other components of the Elastic Stack like Logstash, Kibana etc.
• Extensive experience with Laravel configuration and projects deployments.
• Experience with log debugging tools like rollbar.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).

Preferred Skills
· Industry-recognized certifications, such as the Elastic Certified Engineer, to validate skills and enhance professional standing.

• Multiple projects designing experience with Laravel/Vapor
• Familiarity with Docker or NixOS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines .
