Position : Swiss Lathe Set-Up Machinist

Benefits & Compensation

  • Pay : $24–$32 per hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule : Day Shift, 5 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM
  • Workweek : Four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience , including strong Swiss lathe set-up skills - alternatively CNC lathe twin turret and twin spindle machines
  • Proven ability to set up, prove out, edit, and operate Swiss-style CNC lathes or twin turret and twin spindle lathes
  • Skilled in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T specifications
  • Strong understanding of cutting tool applications and adjustments for optimal machining performance
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complete set-ups and changeovers on Swiss CNC lathes
  • Edit and troubleshoot G-code programs as needed
  • Verify part dimensions using inspection tools, CMM, and optical measurement systems
  • Accurately record production data, part counts, and scrap in the ERP system
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Conduct basic machine maintenance and monitor tooling conditions
  • Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience machining complex lathe / Swiss lathe components
  • Familiar with JobBOSS or similar ERP systems
  • Background in medical device or aerospace machining
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Able to mentor junior machinists and share technical expertise.
