Scientific Instrument Assembler

Pay : $20 / hour

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 12 : 00 PM (Flexible hours available)

Location : Bend

Employment Type : Part-Time (Long-term opportunity for the right candidate)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team in assembling cathodes and other scientific instruments. This role involves hands-on work in a lab-like environment, with opportunities to learn and grow into more complex tasks depending on your initiative and interest.

Key Responsibilities :

Assemble cathodes and other scientific components with precision and care
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Perform tasks such as welding, machining, lathe work, and complex assemblies (training provided)
Use hand and power tools related to product manufacturing
Follow detailed instructions and maintain a low error rate
Lift and handle items up to 25 lbs frequently
Listen to music or podcasts while working, as long as it's not disruptive

Preferred Qualifications :

Good dexterity and eyesight

General knowledge of physics and lab equipment (preferred but not required)

Previous experience in assembly or scientific environments (preferred but not required)

Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities

Ability to follow directions and work independently

Positive attitude, sense of humor, and lightheartedness
