As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail or mall location in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and to observe for unusual conditions. Assist visitors and tenants with directions and information, maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter inappropriate behavior. Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities according to site procedures. Work closely with location management and / or law enforcement as required in the event of emergencies or incidents. Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any potential security-related concerns to appropriate Allied Universal personnel. Minimum Requirements : At least 6 months of security-related experience is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. CPR and / or first aid certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
