POSITION TITLE : Staff Recruiter
DIVISION : Agency Administration
SUPERVISOR : Lead Recruiter / Regional Human Resources Manager
CLASSIFICATION : Full-Time, Non-Exempt
PURPOSE :
Build relationships in the community to attract the right individuals that meet the quality and staffing levels in each region through sourcing, screening, and facilitating full-cycle recruitment. Lead the recruiting and retention support to assigned regions . Work with the development department and additional Human Resources staff to educate and train in the employee experience which will impact the co nsumer and services.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :
Maintain confidentiality adhering to guidelines and company policies.
Maintain consistent communication and feedback to supervisor .
Comply with all Developmental Services, Inc policies and procedures, which include Human Resources and mandatory training requirements.
P osition requi res commitment to attendance, punctuality , and frequent travel in and around the local counties of responsibility .
Demonstrate financial stewardship, using prudent judgement related to expense(s) authorized and incurred by the company.
Support Management teams to develop competency in interviewing, selecting , and retaining the right candidate.
Identify , research , and recommend new recruiting strategies such as sourcing, screening, and employment branding .
Become familiar with each position within the agency to best communicate open positions to potential candidates .
Cultivate relationships with key community organizations, i.e. high schools, colleges, workforce development organizations and adult training centers.
Coordinate and participate in recruitment / career fairs, both in-person and virtually. Be able to present the agency mission and increase agency awareness throughout the community.
Solicit and pursue referrals from employees across all shifts to leverage the Employee Referral Bonus.
Understand the agency ’s benefits and perks to use as a selling point with potential candidates and employees.
Partner with management teams to improve recruitment and retention.
Solicit and pursue referrals from professional associations.
Utilize reporting tools in Teams to document impact of recruiting to assigned region.
Maintain open lines of communication between managers, supervisor s, and the Human Resources team.
Visit all facilities quarterly, including visiting employees in all settings.
P rofessionally create an engaging and informative onboarding experience for new hires.
Attend agency meetings as needed and use them as a tool to discuss and update all open positions and discuss re cruiting challenges and tools available.
Meet department goals of hired employees and stay interviews.
Meet the company and department goal for retention and open positions.
Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner.
Must be able to use personal transportation to drive to a variety of locations including surrounding counties.
Additional duties as required .
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS :
Excellent and professional communication skills, both oral and written.
Must possess critical thinking skills.
Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Comply with ethical standards of DSI, FSSA, and other governing bodies.
Ability to work flexible, non-standard hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Must possess excellent telephone skills.
Ability to effectively operate equipment such as a scanner and copier and have a working knowledge of computers and related software ( i.e. Microsoft Office)
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources , Communication, Marketing , Business , or additional education preferred, High School Diploma required .
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience and / or training in Human Resources, Recruitment preferred.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
Maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license, insurance on personal vehicle (minimum of PLPD with medical liability coverage), and maintain insurability as defined by the agency liability insurance carrier.
