• Work in Neuro Stepdown and Telemetry units with 1 : 4 patient ratios
• Required to pass advanced dysrhythmia test for competency assessment
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Weekend coverage required with 1 weekend shift per month
• Self-scheduling available
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 23
• 24-bed unit with 24 rooms
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Kentucky license or compact license required
• EPIC experience required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 75 miles from facility required for traveler rates
• May float to different units as needed
• Handle cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Perform IV therapy including accessing ports, central line care, PICC management
• Manage feeding tubes, hemodialysis care, and wound care / wound vac
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP / BIPAP and high flow nasal cannula
• Care for neurological conditions including CVA, neurosurgery, and traumatic brain injury
• Manage orthopedic trauma and post-surgical patients
