Job descriptionVisually inspecting, measuring, and collecting data on white oak staves Identifying problems and questions and reporting them to the appropriate supervisor Knowledge of white oak defects. Detail-oriented. Able to scan pieces quickly and accurately identify defects in wood products. Good computer skills are essential, including the ability to currently use or learn quickly, basic email, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access for work. Quality Control experience is an excellent identifier of possible success in this position. Able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and stay on task without constant monitoring. Trustworthy and honest. Ability to work in various body positions; bending, stooping, standing, and the ability to have coordinated movements of pulling, pushing, grasping, reaching, and bilateral arm movements. Inspector-Independent Stave Company
Location-Rickman Mill
Independent Stave Company is hiring for our internal Inspector position at Rickman Mill. In this role, you will perform an in-process and final inspection of raw materials and manufactured components for conformance to specifications such as dimensions or defects.
Compensation : $19 plus to start, based on experience
- Opportunity for weekly and quarterly bonuses. These additional bonuses can increase base pay by $4 or more per hour.
