Position Overview

The Estimator plays a key role in the preconstruction phase, responsible for evaluating project documents, preparing accurate cost estimates, and working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. The ideal candidate brings strong construction knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and bid proposals

Review drawings, specifications, and project documents

Obtain subcontractor and supplier pricing and evaluate scope coverage

Analyze bids, perform cost comparisons, and support value engineering efforts

Assist in developing project budgets, bid packages, and bid strategies

Maintain and update historical cost data, production rates, and pricing databases

Collaborate with preconstruction, project management, and leadership teams

Qualifications

3+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor or CM firm

Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and materials

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering documents

Proficiency with estimating and digital take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, ProEst, Sage, etc.)

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
