Job description

Controller

We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our team, specializing in a variety of high-end roofing services and general contracting. You will play a pivotal role in executing and managing financial systems daily, thus bridging a critical gap for our growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage and execute financial controls and operating systems on a daily basis.
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger management.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Drive financial reporting and refine accounting processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end reconciliations.
  • Integrate and consolidate multiple financial data points, eliminating duplication.
  • Collaborate with the team to support marketing efforts and operational expansion.

Essential Skills :

  • 3-5 years of hands-on controller / accounting experience in commercial, construction, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • Experience in construction or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
  • Understanding of systems architecture.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to integrate well with the existing team.

    • Work Environment :

  • The role is primarily onsite, working from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with the potential for one remote day per week.
  • The company has a rich 71-year history and operates mainly through referrals, offering a collaborative work environment that values practical skills and personality fit.

    • Job Type & Location :

    This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester Hills, MI.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00 / yr. Working on getting benefits and other bonus possibilities.

    Workplace Type :

    This is a fully onsite position in Rochester Hills, MI.
