About the Team and the Role :

The Platform Engineering team within the Consumer Technology eXperience (CTX) organization delivers reliable, scalable, and high-performance platforms and solutions across omnichannel. We adapt to customers\' evolving needs by adhering to industry best practices, continuously enhancing our offerings, and embracing innovative technologies.

The Associate Director of Technology – Customer Data Platform (CDP) will oversee the strategy, architecture, development, and deployment of innovative technology solutions designed to enable marketing teams to deliver highly personalized, data-driven customer experiences. Focused on driving customer engagement and maximizing business impact, this role demands a strategic leader with a robust technical background, extensive expertise in Data Engineering , data pipeline orchestration , and Customer Data Platform (CDP) , along with the ability to align technical initiatives seamlessly with marketing objectives and overarching business goals.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-performing engineering teams, driving innovation, and delivering scalable solutions that enhance marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do :

Strategic Planning and Vision

• Establish organization\'s CDP strategy, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Design the CDP architecture to unify customer data from multiple sources (e.g., web, mobile, CRM, transactional systems) into a centralized and actionable platform.
• Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and collaborate with marketing, analytics, and product teams to define use cases that align with strategic goals.
• Partner with analytics and data science teams to enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and real-time data applications.
• Work closely with stakeholders across departments to align strategies, priorities, and goals.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on CDP performance, project progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Our Associate Director-Technology II earns between $174,100-$261,100 USD annually. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education / training.
