Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Security Solutions Lead Engineer who can design, implement, and oversee advanced security architectures for enterprise environments. This role requires someone who can provide technical leadership, guide teams, evaluate new technologies, and ensure that security controls are aligned with business and compliance needs. You will be responsible for end-to-end solution design, technical oversight, and driving best practices across security engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Security Architecture & Design

Develop and maintain enterprise-level security architecture and solution designs.

Lead the evaluation and integration of new security technologies, tools, and platforms.

Ensure security frameworks, standards, and guidelines are properly implemented across systems.

Define secure design patterns, reference architectures, and reusable solution components.

Security Engineering & Implementation

Oversee the implementation of security controls across infrastructure, cloud, network, and applications.

Provide hands-on support in configuring and deploying security tools when needed.

Conduct deep technical assessments of solutions, platforms, and existing environments.

Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to embed security early in the lifecycle.

Risk Management & Compliance

Identify potential security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements such as NIST, ISO, SOX, HIPAA, or organizational policies.

Support audits, assessments, and documentation requirements for compliance initiatives.

Leadership & Collaboration

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level security engineers.

Present technical recommendations, system designs, and risk findings to leadership and stakeholders.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, cloud engineering, network teams, and development teams.

Drive continuous improvement in security processes, tools, and engineering standards.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 12 years of experience in security engineering, solution design, or security architecture roles.

Strong background in designing and implementing enterprise security solutions across cloud, network, and application environments.

Experience with cloud security frameworks for AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Extensive understanding of firewalls, IDS / IPS, SIEM solutions, endpoint security, identity and access management, PAM, and encryption technologies.

Hands-on experience with tools such as Splunk, Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Zscaler, Check Point, or equivalent.

Strong understanding of security standards including NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, Zero Trust principles, and secure SDLC.

Ability to perform architectural reviews, threat modeling, and deep technical risk assessments.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proven experience leading engineering initiatives and coordinating across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, GSEC, or related credentials.

Experience working in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.

Prior involvement in large-scale transformation or cloud migration programs.
