Job descriptionProvide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies relevant to the healthcare environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with healthcare staff as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter prohibited items and unauthorized access. Document and report security-related incidents, unusual observations, and maintenance concerns according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines. Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification as required by site policy. Support emergency response efforts and follow established protocols for healthcare environments. Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Guard - Healthcare Site - Weekdays
As a Security Guard in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication sets the tone for a welcoming atmosphere.
