We are searching for a nurse practitioner with Level 4 NICU experience to provide coverage for our client in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This is a very busy & high acuity 56 bed NICU. Candidate must be experienced in PICC / UVC / UAC lines, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, and intubations. All candidates must have prior ground & air transport experience and be willing to cover night shifts, day shifts, & weekends. Further details below!

Position : Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Location : Medical Center in Hershey, PA - Level IV 56 bed NICU with very high acuity
Contract Dates : ASAP - Ongoing (allow 60-120 days for credentialing)
Weekday Shifts : 7am-5pm / 4pm-8am
Weekend Shifts : 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am
24 Hour Shifts Available any day of the week

Responsibilities of APPs in NICU

5-8 patient coverage

Procedures

Accompanying patients to transport for various imaging

Cover delivery room - attend high risk deliveries, document delivery room notes, admit patients, and completing orders and H&Ps

Attend NICU code blues and OB traumas in ED

Covering Nights & Weekends - supervising 20-30 patients at night and covering entire unit if someone is out on transport

Going on Transport (ambulance / Life Lion) for critically ill patients and documenting transport care

Attend Family Meetings

Paid Online Training for Air / Ground Transport & EMR

Requirements :

Active Pennsylvania Medical License

BLS

PALS

NRP

3+ years experience in neonatology as Nurse Practitioner

Experience in a Level 4 NICU

Night shift and weekend availability

Experience with air and ground transport
