Job descriptionProcedure education Escorting patients to and from exam rooms Appointment reminder calls as needed Responding to and chart patient messages Communicating test results to patients Previous medical experience in a physician clinic setting preferred Orthopedic experience is a plus Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in very busy clinical setting Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills Independent and highly motivated Exhibit initiative and self-discipline Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude and work history Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully Constant standing and walking for long periods of time Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas Consistently work at a productive pace Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
Responsibilities / Requirements :
- Perform general nursing duties in a busy orthopedic practice
- Escribe / call in medications
- Draw up injections and prepare patients in sterile fashion
- Assist other team providers as needed
- Schedule test, imaging, labs as needed
- Obtain any necessary insurance authorizations for procedures or tests
- Locate any necessary test results, and / or reports
- Assist with filling out forms as needed for return to work etc.
- Prepare for next clinic by printing notes and checking for needed test results
- Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc.
- Schedule depositions and meetings as needed
- Assist other team members as needed
- Obtain signature on miscellaneous forms as needed
- Travel to satellite locations as required

Answering and returning patient phone calls
