Experienced Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for animals, assisting veterinarians in various procedures, and ensuring the well-being of pets in our facility. This position requires a strong knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, and excellent animal handling skills.

• Duties
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care.
• Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
• Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and training techniques.
• Manage kennel operations, including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment for all animals.
• Stay updated on veterinary practices and advancements in animal care.
• Skills
• Proficient in animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff.
• Anesthesia and Performing Dental Cleanings is required.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with the veterinary team.
• Experience with dog training or behavior modification is a plus.
• Familiarity with pet grooming practices to enhance the appearance and hygiene of animals.
• Understanding of animal anatomy to assist in medical procedures accurately.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with equine care is beneficial but not required.
