FM Medical Director opening in Augusta, ME - Full-time, permanent position - Employed opportunityPosition Overview : We are seeking a Board-Certified Physician to join a team as the Medical Director for a group of primary care practices in Northern Kennebec County, Maine. Work clinically two days per week at one of the four primary care practices.Call Coverage : Share call responsibilities for significant issues, with RN triage handling initial contact.Administrative Responsibilities : Leadership : Provide medical staff leadership for four geographically close practices, collaborating with practice administrators and leading medical staff meetings.Team Building : Focus on mentorship, team building, and collaboration.
Manage schedules, including office schedules and call coverage.Quality Improvement : Support quality improvement initiatives, implementation of policies, and compliance. Participate in activities such as process design, coding and billing issues, and safety education.Performance Management : Oversee performance reviews, monitor access and referral patterns, and ensure compliance with training, performance expectations, and access enhancement.Recruitment and Retention : Partner with administrative and service line leaders on staff recruitment and retention.Community : Northern Kennebec County, Maine : Enjoy living and working in a beautiful region known for its scenic landscapes and vibrant community.
