The Department of Ophthalmology seeks a full‑time open‑rank oculoplastic / orbital surgeon. Academic rank and salary are negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

The Department of Ophthalmology at UNC – Chapel Hill is seeking a full‑time open‑rank oculoplastic / orbital surgeon. Academic rank and salary are negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• MD or DO required.
• Completed a 12‑24 month post‑residency fellowship in oculoplastic / orbital surgery.
• Graduated from an approved ophthalmic residency training program and satisfied fellowship requirements.
• Board certification or eligibility and eligibility for licensure in North Carolina required.
• Excellent training in orbital surgery necessary.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Special Physical / Mental Requirements

Occasional on‑call; patient care involved.

Special Instructions

FTE is negotiable between 0.5–1.0. The position may also involve work at Fayetteville VA on occasion.
