POSITION SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES
\n\n
Counsels and assists patients and their families with personal and environmental difficulties which predispose illness or hinder the patient from receiving maximum benefits from medical care / dialysis regimen. Counsels and assists patients and their families in receiving maximum benefits from third party payers for medical care. Acts as therapeutic agent for the patients and serves as a member of a multi-disciplinary health team.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
\n\n
Master’s degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work required. One year of post-Master’s degree experience in a health care setting is preferred.
\n\n
LICENSURE
\n\n
Current state licensure from the Texas Department of Human Services is required.
\n
