Job Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health Division. This role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management. The position offers flexibility through a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with clinical standards and regulatory guidelines.

Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

Provide psychiatric health services, emotional support, education, and counseling to patients.

Refer patients for inpatient care when necessary, in coordination with the staff psychiatrist.

Prescribe medications in alignment with established treatment protocols and clinical guidelines.

Order and interpret laboratory tests, and communicate results clearly to patients.

Educate patients on prescribed medications, including potential risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.

Maintain ongoing communication with patients and conduct follow-up consultations as needed.

May provide primary medical care services when appropriate, in accordance with professional regulations.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Psychiatric / Mental Health from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience.

Active licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the state of New York .

Availability to work 40 hours per week .
