Your Role : Middle School Math Teacher

As a Middle School Math Teacher , you will be an integral part of a grade-level team, guiding students toward becoming self-directed learners. Your passion for mathematics will inspire students to engage deeply with the subject, fostering a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. By the end of eighth grade, your students will be well-prepared for the academic challenges of high school.

Key Responsibilities

1. Instruction

• Teach foundational middle school math principles, including ratios, proportions, expressions, equations, and the number system.
• Utilize our in-house CCSS-based Math curriculum and culturally responsive problem-solving activities.
• Encourage students to tackle problems and think critically about various solutions.
• Use your enthusiasm for mathematics to build confidence and meaningful engagement among students.

1-2 years of experience impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities preferred.

Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from $56,000 to $80,000 , determined by factors such as relevant teaching experience, educational certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Candidates without full-time teaching experience will likely start at $56,000.
