    • Job Summary

    The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative III - Floater (PSR III) is a senior-level phlebotomy professional providing coverage across multiple clinical sites. This role requires expert-level blood collection skills , flexibility for travel, and leadership in supporting and mentoring staff. PSR IIIs ensure specimen quality, patient comfort, and operational efficiency while representing the company in diverse healthcare environments.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection across pediatric, geriatric, and diverse patient groups.
  • Cover multiple clinical locations, including PSCs, IOPs, and mobile assignments.
  • Verify patient demographic data and ensure labeling accuracy.
  • Provide leadership support by mentoring and guiding other phlebotomists.
  • Maintain records and documentation in compliance with company standards.
  • Promote a professional, safe, and patient-centered environment.
  • Participate in weekend rotation as needed.

    • Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of phlebotomy experience required (inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws).
  • 2+ years of experience in patient service centers preferred.
  • Keyboard / data entry proficiency.
  • Customer service experience in healthcare or retail / service preferred.

    • Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Medical assistant or paramedic training.
  • Prior floater / multi-location phlebotomy experience.
  • Leadership or mentoring background.

    • Required Skills

  • Advanced venipuncture and specimen collection techniques
  • Independence and strong decision-making
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Superior customer service and communication skills

    • Preferred Skills

  • EMR / data entry system proficiency
  • Adaptability in high-volume clinical environments
  • Experience onboarding or training new staff

    • Additional Skills

  • Flexibility for travel and rotational scheduling
  • Professional demeanor in patient-facing roles
  • Organizational commitment and attention to detail
