Responsibilities Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma, teaching hospital Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 00) with every other weekend required Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4-5 Floating within scope to meet hospital needs, including sister campuses Unit does not accept travel pairs Uses Epic for charting and documentation Royal blue and white scrubs required First-time travelers are welcome to apply Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year to be eligible as travelers Travel assignments are limited to two contracts, with a six month break required after the second Floating may occur between like units or sister campuses based on the needs of the hospital Holiday time off requests are limited to one holiday per assignment at manager's discretion Pre-employment training modules (4-10 hours) must be completed prior to start and are non-billable Requirements Active NC or compact RN license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or stepdown nursing experience required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required Must pass an EKG exam prior to start, no exceptions Experience with Epic EMR required Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility Pending licenses are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-638761.
