Summary
The Technical Product Specialist is responsible for supporting MITER Brands Team Members in the Western Business Unit by providing technical expertise on our products. This role has primary responsibility for bridging the gap between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring everyone understands product capabilities, features, and benefits, and how they align with customer needs. This role involves troubleshooting, providing training, and analyzing customer feedback to improve product development and market positioning.
Pay Range : $67,000 - $84,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of MITER Brands' products, including their features, benefits, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with product development, operations, sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and effective communication regarding product features and customer needs.
- Provide technical product support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and internal teams.
- Participate in product testing for both physical products and customer-facing systems, and in quality assurance processes, to ensure products meet customer expectations.
- Help ensure product lines are equipped with appropriate technology and features to drive sales growth and profitability targets.
- Stay informed on market requirements for current and future product lines through market research and Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights.
- Collaborate with MITER University to create training programs for customers and MITER Team Members to educate them on product features, benefits, and advantages to increase their knowledge and improve customer experience.
- Attend site visits and assist customers and field service representatives as a subject-matter expert on their respective needs, including troubleshooting and installation training.
- Maintain an understanding of each product's cost structure and margin profile.
- Monitor products through their life cycle, identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges with a focus on creativity and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is highly preferred; Equivalent and relevant experience (5+ years) in the residential window industry will be considered.Preferred experience and knowledge in manufacturing, product management, pricing, sales, and marketing.Ability to work independently and with a team in a high-growth environment.Results-oriented, self-motivated individual experienced in cross-functional collaborationStrong analytical skills, multi-tasking, and organizationHigh level of customer service focused on both internal and external partnersStrong proficiency in the MS Office SuiteExcellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel occasionally domestically up to 15%.About Us
