SENIOR BUYER

LOCATION Chicago Metropolitan Area

COMPENSATION $90,000 - $110,000 Salary / year

COMPANY TYPE Food Manufacturer (Confectionery and Snack Industry)

MUST HAVE Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management .

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use MRP to proactively manage material needs and address potential shortages.
• Issue timely purchase orders and coordinate deliveries with production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels for raw materials, packaging, and critical coatings.
• Build and nurture strong supplier partnerships for quality and cost goals.
• Lead strategic initiatives to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities .
• Collaborate with R&D and Sales to source materials for new product development .
• Track procurement KPIs to measure efficiency and drive continuous process improvements.
• Work closely with Finance to complete monthly purchase price variance (PPV) reports.
