Job description

Job Title

The main purpose of the Engineer Electronic Products is to support the production and sale of electronic products as a member of a global support team. The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include doing sustaining engineer activities including processing Engineering Change Notices & making labels, evaluating & testing alternate materials, supporting manufacturing. This role may also include responsibility for generating cost reduction ideas, teaching internal and external stakeholders about products, and design ideation to address factory or field failures.

Position Requirements :

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, plus 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to apply the fundamental concepts of the following electrical engineering principles AC & DC circuit analysis; diodes, transistors, circuits, etc.; small signal analysis & design; digital circuit design - logic devices, microprocessors, etc.; sampling theory, A / D conversion, etc.; power electronics - switching power supply design, buck & boost regulators, stability analysis, etc.; noise, interference & signal integrity in electronic circuits (high speed digital designs in particular); and wireless networks.
  • Basic knowledge of product and quality standards such as UL, CSA, PED, ASME, ISO, Trade Compliance, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of W-R products
  • Experience in 2D drafting
  • Knowledge in the creation of Engineering Bills of Materials
  • Knowledge of basic schematic capture
  • Knowledge of basic printed circuit board layout
  • Knowledge of lab test equipment
  • Knowledge of product testing
  • Knowledge of Teamcenter or similar PDM systems
  • Knowledge of the documentation release process
  • Authorization to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future.

Major Job Responsibilities :

  • Assist with the release of documentation Communicate with internal and external customers
  • Do sustaining engineering activities including processing ECOs and making labels
  • Evaluate and test alternate components for fitness for use
  • Implement cost reductions
  • Support manufacturing and address issues related quality, final test, or materials
  • Test products to verify customer line or field issues
