About The Position

Job Title : Cath Lab Technologist, Radiologic Technologist

Profession : Diagnostic Imaging

Specialty : Cath Lab Technologist, Radiologic Technologist

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift with On-Call Rotation

Hours per Shift : 1-2 call shifts per week and 1 weekend per month

Experience : Minimum Years of Experience required

License : ARRT(R) required

Certifications : BLS required

Must-Have : Graduate of an accredited radiology program

Description :

Verify package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies.

Prepare patient and equipment for utilization of sterile technique.

After the procedure, prepare equipment and supplies for sterilization.

Monitor and record all procedural data and maintain procedural event logs.

Provide patient comfort while familiarizing them with the equipment and supplies needed for the procedure.

Apply the necessary monitors and prepare access site(s) including the necessary sterile drapes.

When scrubbing into a procedure, use sterile and aseptic technique as required for infection prevention.

Advocate for radiation safety and protection for self and coworkers.

Wear personal radiation dosimeter and take necessary precautions to limit and minimize patient and staff exposure.

Document fluoroscopy time and radiation doses and evaluate reports to determine if values are within established safety limits.
