Job Description
Position Overview :
Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance Business Applications, this role is responsible for leading the technology solution design, delivery and support of key enterprise applications and related business processes that enable Intuitive's FP&A, financial planning, finance product operations, and finance sales operations functions.
This leader will oversee the Anaplan platform for financial planning, SAP for core finance operations, and Varicent for sales performance management, ensuring these systems align with business objectives and deliver maximum value. This role requires technical depth and experience in Anaplan, SAP and Varicent, and the proven ability to become fluent in all related end-to-end financial business processes, with an eye for data governance and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate is hands-on, understands the details of their team's responsibilities and processes. They will manage a small high-performing team of solution architects, business systems analysts and application specialists, fostering innovation, strengthening operational excellence, and maintaining strong trusted business partnerships. This role will require engaging and communicating effectively with senior leadership and working closely with and influencing business and IT stakeholders at various levels across multiple functions to optimize application performance and business outcomes.
Additionally, this role requires experience with Financial close and forecasting processes, driving stability, performance, and data accuracy with a sense of extreme ownership. Additionally demonstrated experience with process transformation, platform ownership and technical operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as the primary IT owner for Anaplan, SAP, and Varicent solutions and platforms, developing strategic road maps, executing on annual commitments in alignment with business priorities, and managing ongoing production stability and operations in partnership with various IT teams and vendors.
Build and maintain strong trusted relationships with Finance, Product Ops Finance, and Sales Ops Finance leadership teams.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT applications team, fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.
Operational excellence is a #1 priority for this role, requiring personal accountability, attention to technical detail, and leadership capability to establish clear KPIs and foster a sense of extreme ownership and urgency across all teams related to maintaining high quality, reliability, and stability of core processes and outcomes of monthly, quarterly, and annual close, reporting, and forecasting cycles.
Establish realistic prioritization, estimates, resource plans, and scope expectations for all initiatives impacting this portfolio, leveraging solid best practice processes and personal experience and knowledge. Professionally challenge optimism and enthusiasm that lacks supporting data and qualitative inputs.

Qualifications :
10+ years in IT or business systems leadership roles, with proven expertise in financial planning, Sales comp and supporting product operations finance.
Excellent verbal and written communication required. Proven track record with stakeholder management / business relationship management. Comfort with in-person presentations and exceptional preparation capabilities.
