The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is seeking candidates for full-time academic faculty positions in advanced heart failure and transplantation cardiology to develop a busy and carried consultative practice. All applicants must be board certified or eligible in Cardiology, as well as eligible for Commonwealth of Massachusetts medical licensure. An academic teaching appointment at the level of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS) will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities will include outpatient consultations on the main campus of BIDMC and possibly one its community sites, as well as attending on the cardiology inpatient or consult services and the Cardiac Direct Access Center. The applicants are expected to be actively engaged in teaching fellows, residents and medical students. Pay Range:
$170,000 - $742,000
The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
